The Ontario Finance Minister is in hot water after leaving the Country for a vacation leading up to the Provincial lockdown.
MPP for Ajax Rod Phillps left Canada on December 13th just as the legislative session ended for the year.
Representatives for the Finance Minister said the trip was previously planned and added that had the Finance Minister been aware of the eventual lockdown starting December 26th he would have cancelled his trip.
There was some confusion as posts on the Minister’s social media during the time leading up to the lockdown made it appear he was still in Canada and preparing for the Holidays.
Philips will be required to quarantine on his return for the required 14 days.
