The Ontario government is expanding the Jobs Training Tax Credit as well as the Second Career Training Program.
The expansion of these programs allow more Ontarian’s to take on more training and build skills to find work as businesses across the province struggle to find workers.
Premier Ford says the expansion is tasked with enticing the economy and gives the province to recover from the pandemic.
“Our government is determined to do whatever we can to help connect workers who lost their jobs due to the pandemic by providing the training they need to start new and well paying careers.” said Ford.
Both expansions were apart of the fall economic statement.
The program expands to serve those in social assistance, freelancers and newcomers.
