This week marks Ontario Agriculture Week. Across the province, farmers proudly grow and produce more than 200 different food commodities for Ontario, across Canada and the world.
The Ontario Federation of Agriculture is looking to grow and share the week further and give a nod with the people who dedicate their livelihoods to producing safe, healthy food and raise awareness in the industry.
Perth-Wellington MP John Nater says locally, this is the heart of Ontario’s agriculture sector.
“We have so many wonderful farmers, farm processors, agriculture businesses. There is so much we have locally to celebrate and to share across this great country” said Nater.
Ontario Ag Week is dedicated to celebrating the large amount of food the province’s farmers produce.
