OPP are warning last minute Christmas shoppers of online scams hitting the area.
On December 15th police responded to a report of fraud which took place in Palmerston.
The victim purchased $300 worth of firewood from a marketplace website with the victim paying up front via e-transfer.
The delivery was scheduled but never showed up.
After contacting police, officers noticed several red flags on the scammer profile, one of which suggesting the individual was based in Texas.
