An officer initiative has led to a series of safer intersections across Perth County.
The initiative was launched after 5 intersections had report 33 crashes in a two year period.
Dubbed Look Twice, Save a Life, the initiative was aimed to educate the public and take enforcement action at a series of controlled intersections including;
· Main St E and Davidson Av N, Listowel
· Perth Line 72 and Rd 131, Perth East
· Line 39 and Rd 135, Perth East
· Perth Line 20 and Rd 164, West Perth
· Cobble Hills Rd and HW 7, Perth South
From November-December last year, officers dedicated over 30 hours to the initiative where drivers were educated and provided literature on stop sign safety.
21 Provincial Offence Notices were issued to drivers for intersection related offences.
