Observant Officer catches thief in the act in North Perth

Officer noticed the accused pushing a snow blower down the road

Thanks to great police work in North Perth, a theft has been solved moments after it occurred.

On Saturday, February 6th just after 3:30am a member of the Perth County OPP was patrolling on Queen Street East in Listowel when they observed a person pushing a snow blower down the road. The investigation revealed that the snow blower had just been stolen from a nearby residence on Queen Street.

As a result a 33 year old male of North Perth has been arrested and charged with theft under $5000.

The accuse was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in a Stratford court at a later date to answer to the charges.
