Wellington County residents who own property ten acres or less in size are reminded to have any noxious weeds destroyed by June 1st and to continue throughout the season.
The County could otherwise enter the property and have the weeds destroyed at the cost against the owner as set out in the Weed Control Act.
Weeds such as the Canada Thistle, Poisson Ivy, Smooth Bedstraw and Dog Strangling Vine are among the list of noxious weeds which must be removed.
The full list of weeds can be found from the County website.
