Huron Bay Co-Operative and North Wellington Co-Operative services announced last night that the two organizations members voted unanimously to amalgamate operations as of September 1st.
The new entity will be entitled Midwest Co-Operative Services.
The two organizations have worked together over the past couple of years and have created a multitude of efficiencies they say.
The vote was held at the Mildmay Community Centre.
Midwestern Co-Operative Services has a membership of over 9000 farmers and more than 75 years experience serving the local communities of Huron, Bruce, Wellington, Grey, Perth and Dufferin Counties.
