At Mondays council meeting, Amy Gangl, Manager of Programs for North Perth discussed picnic tables for businesses to have outdoor dining.
As of Friday June 11th, outdoor dining will be permitted again in Ontario.
This was discussed last year as well, with the same idea into this year, waive fees associated with renting picnic tables on a first come, first serve basis. Gangl says they will ensure there are enough tables for businesses and for outdoor spaces around the municipality
“We are working with our local businesses as well as our downtown core to make sure were adding additional picnic tables in other areas.’ said Gangl.
Council voted strongly for the motion 10-0 to waive picnic table fees for businesses to use for patios.
