North Perth is reminding residents heading into the long weekends its bylaw regarding fireworks.
In accordance with the bylaw fireworks are only permitted for two holidays, Victoria Day and Canada Day.
Igniting fireworks at any other time of the year can be subject to fines.
No business can sell fireworks in the municipality except on the fourteen business immediately preceding Victoria Day and Canada Day.
