The North Perth Public Library is celebrating its winners of their first youth poetry contest.

The contest called for submissions from 3 age groups, kindergarten-grade 4, grade 5-8 and high school with the theme of joy for the poems.

Each division had two winners being decided anonymously using randomized codes.

One winner was by community choice and the 2nd by Ross Werth, a local published poet.

Harper and Natalie were winners in the kindergarten to grade 4 class, grade 5-8 winners were Carter and Tessa with Eden and Kylie as high school winners.

All poems are on display at the Listowel branch of the North Perth Public Library.
