The Municipality of North Perth in accordance with Provincial regulations will re-open the following outdoor municipal recreational amenities as of 12:01am on Saturday, May 22nd
- Parks and recreational areas
- Baseball diamonds
- Batting cages
- Soccer and sports fields
- Tennis and pickleball courts
- Basketball courts
- Skate Park
- Playgrounds (previously permitted to re-open)
- Lawn game courts, including bocce courts
They do indicate that the following rules will apply when using the above amenities.
- In accordance with the Provincial outdoor gathering limits, the maximum capacity of use for outdoor recreational amenities is 5 persons at one time.
- Any person who enters or uses the amenity must maintain a physical distance of at least two metres from any other person, unless the person is a member of their household or one other person from outside the household who lives alone or a caregiver of any member of that household;
- Team sports are not to be practiced or played within the amenity;
- Other sports or games that are likely to result in individuals coming within two metres of each other are not to be practiced or played within the amenity.
