North Perth announces re-opening of outdoor amenities

Changes are in accordance with change in Provincial Regulations

 

The Municipality of North Perth in accordance with Provincial regulations will re-open the following outdoor municipal recreational amenities as of 12:01am on Saturday, May 22nd

  • Parks and recreational areas
  • Baseball diamonds
  • Batting cages
  • Soccer and sports fields
  • Tennis and pickleball courts
  • Basketball courts
  • Skate Park
  • Playgrounds (previously permitted to re-open)
  • Lawn game courts, including bocce courts

They do indicate that the following rules will apply when using the above amenities.

  1. In accordance with the Provincial outdoor gathering limits, the maximum capacity of use for outdoor recreational amenities is 5 persons at one time.
  2. Any person who enters or uses the amenity must maintain a physical distance of at least two metres from any other person, unless the person is a member of their household or one other person from outside the household who lives alone or a caregiver of any member of that household;
  3. Team sports are not to be practiced or played within the amenity;
  4. Other sports or games that are likely to result in individuals coming within two metres of each other are not to be practiced or played within the amenity.
