North Huron has approved its 2022 budget which will see a 6.28% levy increase.
Document show the tax bill increase for the budget on the average family home looks at a $94.02 increase in Wingham, $97.46 in Blyth and $118.32 in East Wawanosh.
Parts of the budget look to address a variety of projects including services to the Hutton Heights property for a hundred new homes to be built, stand pipe replacement in Wingham and a $814,000 project for the Westcast Community Complex.
North Huron Reeve Bernie Bailey says this is the highest budget council has approved but adds the increase and money used will benefit everyone in North Huron.
