The No Frills grocery store on Huron Street is temporarily closed following a fire on Tuesday night.
Firefighters were called to the scene just after 10pm when a refrigeration unit was found to be on fire.
A sprinkler had gone off near the fridge which helped keep the fire from spreading and the fire was put out just before 11pm.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation with damage slotted at over $1 million.
Public Health has also been brought in to determine product loss due to contamination.
