The next set of COVID-19 benefits are now open to apply.
Canadians can apply for these new benefits which include $500 per week for up to 26 weeks for caregivers where one person has had to miss more than half a week of work due to caring for someone. This can include a child, having to keep them home from school or daycare due to closure.
Canadians can also apply for the new sick leave benefit – up to $1000 for those forced to stay home and unable to work due to contracted COVID-19.
