Huron County paramedics will soon have a station in Brussels.
Plans are underway to have a new station built next to the Brussels Fire Station.
Site design plans are expected to be brought to both Huron East and Huron County councils for approval in a future meeting.
Huron County’s Chief of Emergency Services Jeff Horseman says the paramedics are currently in the same building as the firefighters but they have outgrown the facility.
“Sharing the smaller crew area that the fire department has is not conducive for both the firefighters and paramedics.” said Horseman
Plans to have a new station up is hoping to be finished by 2023 at the latest.
