There’s a new initiative with Wellington County OPP designed to support children who have experienced traumatic events.
Dubbed the Soft Heart Initiatives, this partnership with the community allows the public to donate handmade crochet plushies to share with children in need.
The handmade items will help act as a source of comfort and reassurance during difficult times.
Donations guidelines include new handmade goods that must not contain small parts which could pose a choking hazard and must not have any monetary value.
Donations can be dropped off at the front desk of any Wellington County OPP detachment.
