US biotech company Moderna says their test of a COVID-19 vaccine proved 95% effective in preventing the virus after a late trial run.
Alongside Pfizers 90% effective vaccine, there is potentially two available vaccines for later distribution. Moderna said in a release while the success rate is great, they will still await long term results later this month.
A vaccine to COVID-19 could be readily available to administer to the most vulnerable by the end of December.
