Usually, a change for a health units framework is announced Friday afternoon and goes into affect on Monday.
This however is not the case in the neighbouring Middlesex-London which has shifted from orange to red as of midnight on Tuesday.
The move was to address the rise of COVID-19 cases from over the weekend in the region which health officials say saw a jump to 86.9 percent from 64.4 per 100,000 people.
Huron-Perth remains in yellow with other neighbouring regions, Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph in orange and Grey-Bruce in green.
