Nathaniel DeWeerd, a grade 9 student in Stratford has been named as the 2023 Accessibility Award recipient from the city.
Nathaniel noted a need for more stop gap ramps at businesses in Stratford as a tool to be more accessible.
Nathanial was also able to get his Cadets group to build 16 ramps which are now in use.
The Accessibility Award is given yearly for a business or organization in Stratford for someone who has worked to make a space more accessible for the community.
