It was a successful Mystery Farm Hop held last weekend with Perth County Tourism alongside the Perth County Federation of Agriculture, PC Connect and Ontario Federation of Agriculture.
The event held on Saturday saw 150 participants take part in the 4.5 hour trip across rural stops in Perth County visiting four mystery farms.
Stops across the tour included McCully’s Hill Farm, Stonetown Artisan Cheese, Kampkreek Dairies and Black Creek Flower Farm.
Najma Jose, a Mystery Farm Hop participant captured the spirit of the event perfectly, expressing her appreciation for the commitment to inclusivity and the opportunity for communities to connect. She remarked, “I firmly believe that strong communities are built on the foundations of inclusivity, cultural diversity, and a sense of collective responsibility. Events like the Mystery Farm Hop are a testament to Perth County’s dedication to creating spaces where diverse individuals and communities can come together, learn from one another, and form meaningful connections.”
Meredith Forget, Perth County Manager of Economic Development, Tourism and Transportation says the day showed how special rural Perth County is, from welcoming farms, volunteers and attendees who made the day memorable.
