Perth County OPP have recovered a large amount of stolen property following a search warrant in Perth East.
On May 29th members of the Huron-Perth Community Street Crime Unit, Perth County Major Crime Unit, Perth County OPP and the West Region Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit executed the search warrant.
Two people were arrested at the address on Line 52 in Perth East.
A stolen trailer was searched which dug up property including; a tandem axle flatbed trailer, a tandem axle dump trailer, a 2011 Ford F250, a 2018 Dodge Ram 1500, a 2010 Kawasaki KX250 dirt bike, a 2018 Argo XR5, 2018 Skidoo Rotax 850 snowmobile, a Suzuki street bike, a 2002 Suzuki G60 street bike, a 2001 Suzuki XR1 street bike, an aluminum hydraulic dump bin, a Cargo Max trailer, and four chainsaws.
A cell phone and methamphetamine were also seized, with a combined valued at approximately $800.
A 47 year old Perth East face multiple charges including ;
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 (11 counts)
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 (four counts)
– Altering/Removing/Destroying VIN (three counts)
– Fraudulent Concealment
– Possession of Methamphetamine
A 42 year old of Perth East has also been charged with;
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 (11 counts)
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 (four counts)
– Altering/Removing/Destroying VIN (three counts)
– Fraudulent Concealment
Both were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
