The Multicultural Association of Perth-Huron has gone above and beyond to welcome in Ukrainian refugees into Canada.
On top of raising funds to help people fly into the country and settle, volunteers have helped with proper paperwork and visas as well as meeting with families at the airport and providing shuttle service.
Among those helped include the Pryyma family who upon entering Canada kissed the ground, expressing joy to in country says President Geza Wordofa.
The Multicultural Association will be holding a fundraiser on Saturday at the Elma Memorial Community Centre.
Ukrainian food will be served with music by Barry James Payne & String Bone.
