The Multicultural Association of Perth-Huron has risen to welcoming Ukrainian refugees into the region.
The Association says as many as 48 refugees could be expected within the coming weeks as financial support is being accepted to purchases needed items for their arrival.
The Multicultural Association is also in talks with businesses and farmers to secure work in the region for refugees.
On March 3rd, the federal government announced a new immigration stream for Ukrainians who wish to come to Canada, both permanently and temporarily.
