Multicultural Association Looking to Help Afghan Refugees

Federal government has pledged to assist 20,000 fleeing the country

The Multicultural Association of Perth-Huron is turning to the public for help as the group is looking assist Afghan refugees fleeing the country.

The Multicultural Associations President, Geza Wordofa says five families have already moved to Kitchener with at least 10 more potentially moving to the area.

The Federal Government has pledged to assist up to 20,000 Afghan nationals to Canada through various immigration programs as the Taliban have taken over the country following American withdrawal.
