Elected members of the provincial parliament will be required to get vaccinated from COVID-19 or else face being removed from Ontario’s governing Progressive Conservative caucus.
A spokeswoman for Premier Doug Ford confirmed the news in which all MPPs have been told to get their shots in order to stay in caucus.
The requirement reasoning is due to their work requiring daily interactions with the public. No date has been given as to when members are expected to be vaccinated.
Premier Ford has spoken previously he did not support mandating vaccinations say he believed it to be a constitutional right to not take the vaccine.
