Perth-Wellington MPP Matthew Rae has tabled his private members bill the Growing Agritourism Act.
The act aims to mitigate some of the risks involved with agritourism operations on farms in Ontario.
A first of its kind in Canada, the act aims to remove barrier to investment in the agrictourism sector in the province.
Rae says many farm families in Perth-Wellington and in Ontario are choosing to offer agritourism activities on their farms to share their love of the land and animals.
This marks Rae’s second private members bill since being elected two years ago.
