The Mount Forest Lions are looking at a series of improvement projects across the community.

George Laurencic with Lions came to council with a list of projects the Lions are looking at such as upgrade to 55 inch tv screens at the sportsplex, plant trees in Moody Park and get new equipment at the Merv Weber Playground at Hutchinson Park.

Laurencic says certain projects such as the equipment will require some extra community involvement.

“That equipment there is about 20 years old, I think it was put in around 2003. This is where we need to partner with the community. Some decent equipment is going to be around $30-60,000 in that neighbourhood. We’d like to get this done as soon as possible” said Laurencic.

A final approval for the projects won’t be considered until the Lions return to regular meetings at the end of the summer.

If approved, the Lions would return to council with a more concrete proposal.
