Minto is providing a letter of support for the Minto-Mapleton Family Health Teams application to the province for more funding to expand their staff.
The provincial government has new funding available to expand existing inter professional primary care teams given to the communities in the greatest need.
The health team is looking to add two nurse practitioners, a receptionist and one registered practical nurse.
In order to apply, a letter of support from the local municipality where the health team is stationed is required.
