The Town of Minto revisited the discussion of COVID-19 relief funds for groups and organizations to apply for who have struggled throughout the pandemic.

Funds remain available for those groups to apply for to recover from the pandemic and want more organizations in need to come forward.

While funds are considered limited Mayor George Bridge says if a group needs it to survive, they should reach out regardless of a day or time.

“Keep it open to the 1st of December and we’ll deal with them on a individual basis and if we need to put more money in pot, we discuss it as a council.” said Bridge.

Mayor Bridge adding he doesn’t want to see organizations fold and will continue to support them.

“Nobody is going to be left out of this. If there is a real need, we will make sure that organization survives if we can.”

While discussion went back and forth, council approved a motion to continue to provide support to groups with COVID-19 relief funds and the message to encourage those organizations in need to reach out to council.
