The Town of Minto Council approved the motion today to approve the Tender in regards work to be done to Clifford Rotary Celebration Square.
The successful bidder, Roubos Farm Services Ltd, was awarded the project at a total cost of $121,900.11 excluding HST.
The two bids received under the tender were in excess of the $110,000 set out for the work but staff stated that other sources of funding were not include in the capital budget and were expected to be approved which will balance out the shortfall.
Minto is set to receive funding of $28,123 under the Canada Healthy Communities Initiative.
The projects purpose, stated in the report, is to promote and maintain strong commercial cores with a healthy land use mix in urban areas of Clifford, Harriston and Palmerston to provide goods and services required by local residents and businesses.
