Education Minister Stephen Lecce says its important for parents to ensure their kids get fully vaccinated.
Youth aged 12-17 are currently eligible to book accelerated doses for a COVID-19 vaccine. Lecce says high vaccination coverage for youth means the return of extracurricular activities for the fall.
Lecce adding the governments back to school plan will be shared later this month once they look at the vaccine rate among school staff and students.
More than 58 percent of youth aged 12-17 have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
