Ontario’s minimum wage has increased by another dollar.
As of Sunday, the minimum wage will now jump to $16.55 an hour, a leap of the previous wage which was $15.50 per hour.
The increase of 6.8 per cent is expected to add another $2200 more in workers pockets. The minimum wage was set to increase after the Ontario government made the announcement in March.
Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development David Piccini says the increase will support more than 900,000 workers in the province.
