This past weekend, Perth-Wellington conservatives voted Matt Rae to lead the area provincially as he’ll now have a shot in the coming election to run for MPP in the region.
Rae comes in to replace Randy Pettapiece who announced he would not be seeking another term.
Rae says he is humbled to have the support from voters as well as from politicians such as Minto Mayor George Bridge who endorsed Rae.
He adds, the experience he brings from working during campaigns with John Nater and Pettapiece has him moving forward come election time.
“I’m looking forward to getting out there, meeting with voters and hearing their concerns and if successful on June 2nd, taking those concerns to Queens Park and continuing to ensure that Perth-Wellington receives the investments it needs.” said Rae.
