The Organizers of the Mask Off Guelph Event held last Saturday, April 9th, announced that over $50,000 has been raised and donated to the Grove Hubs, A Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario Initiative.

The event saw over 320 attendees out to support the cause. The funds will be used to support the music room and music program at the new Grove Site at the CMHA Waterloo-Wellington Centre for Children’s Mental Health and Developmental Services scheduled to open in early 2023.

In the release organizers say the Grove Hubs was a fitting partnerfor the event as youth mental health services saw a 40 percent increase last year.

Of the 146,000 youth between the ages of 12 and 26 living in Guelph and Wellington County, they estimate that over half are in need of mental health and wellness services now.
