Marit Stiles has been confirmed as the new leader of the Ontario NDP.
Stiles who’s been with the party since 2018 was the only person who took a leadership run.
The Davenport NDP representative has previously been a school trustee and president of the federal NDP.
Stiles says her focus will be on defeating the PC government in the next election which isn’t until 2026.
Stiles comes in to replace interim leader Peter Tabuns after Andrea Horwath resigned after the last election in June.
