The Township of Mapleton announced today that as part of their commitment to ensuring the health and safety of their employees as well as residents they will be mandating Covid-19 vaccinations of those accessing facilities in the municipality.
The move comes as part of the Province’s mandate that as of September 22nd Ontarians need to be fully vaccinated (2 doses plus 14 days after) and provide their proof of vaccination along with photo ID to access certain public settings and facilities. The approach focuses on higher-risk indoor public settings where face coverings cannot always be worn.
Mapleton Township has indicated they will follow all guidelines as set out by the Province of Ontario. The policy applies to PMD Area, Moorefield and Alma Communities Centres.
Anyone under the age of 18 who is entering a facility to actively participate in an organized sport will be exempt.
This does not include spectators, parents or guardians.
