Mapleton council has agreed to support the Minto-Mapleton Family Health Team’s recruitment and retention efforts for the year, continuing their annual contribution of $10,000.
The move will continue Mapleton’s support for health care recruitment in a time of a global shortage of healthcare staff.
Mayor Gregg Davidson invited the health team’s recruitment to send a representation to join him and Minto Mayor Dave Turton to an upcoming Ontario Good Roads Association conference to make a request from the government regarding nurse practitioner funding.
