Mapleton council can expect a draft budget at their next meeting which will show a four per cent increase in the townships levy for next year.
The current tax rate increase is projected at 3.75 per cent but the number could come down once a final assessment has been known.
Some parts are a result of the increase such as newer programming being introduced over the past few years as well as a new executive assistant in the CAO’s office.
The draft budget will be presented to council on November 18th.
