Mapleton councilor Martin Tamlyn is stepping down who’s accepted a job in Centre Wellington filling in a position for climate change coordinator.
The position is part of a shared service agreement with Mapleton but prevents Tamlyn from holding office as a council member.
His salary will see a share of $61,000 from Centre Wellington and $48,000 from Mapleton.
Tamlyn will start his new role as of September 30th.
