Wellington County OPP have charged a Guelph resident after a crash with a tree.
On July 30th at around 8am, OPP were called to the crash on Highway 7 in Guelph-Eramosa.
As a result it was learned the driver had veered across the centre line, entered the opposite ditch and hit a tree, posing a risk to others on the road.
When asked what happened by police, the driver said they were reaching for a banana when they lost control.
The driver was taken to hospital as a precaution with minor injuries. A 51 year old of Guelph has been charged with Careless Driving.
