Lynn Brandwood has been named as the 2023 recipient of the Neil Dunsmore Power of One Award.
The award recognizes someone from Wellington County who has made a significant contribution to promoting life and preventing suicide.
The award named after Neil Dunsmore marked as Dunsmore in the fall of 2020 walked 500km from Elora to Ottawa during his “Steps to Stop the Silence” campaign which saw proceeds support the Cody Sheppard project.
Lynn, who lost her son Michael to suicide has become a key member of support for the Here4Hope Support After Suicide Team and started the Power of the Grip in 2021 to support, educate and raise funds for The Grove in Fergus.
