Over the last 3 years, the Listowel Wingham Hospital Alliance has been supporting a temporary outpatient social work position.
The role was first put in place to support mental health revisits in the emergency departments.
The role since since then quickly grown and now includes other areas of support including system navigation and counseling.
The success of the program has had the hospitals alliance to make the position permanent.
Katie Fergus has now officially joined the Clinical Services Team.
