Julie Anne Staehli has touched down in Tokyo as she gears up to represent Canada and Lucknow for the Olympics.
Staehli who will be doing distance running says the support she’s received has been overwhelming and something she’s carrying with her as spectators will not be in attendance in Tokyo this year.
“It’s incredible, it’s overwhelming in the best way possible and I’m going to take that support with me.” said Staehli
Lucknow and the surrounding areas have left signs of support for Staehli as well as businesses decorating their exteriors to show support.
The Summer Olympics start July 23rd ending on August 8th.
