The Emergency Department and Ambulatory Unit of the Louise Marshall Hospital is set to open soon as they celebrated the new departments with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
President and CEO of North Wellington Health Care Stephen Street writing in a release, the two year $25 million expansion is complete and the Emergency Department will officially open its door on September 14th.
Street added the Ambulatory Care/Oncology Unit would open the following week. The expansion at Louise Marsh Hospital was first approved in 2011 with shovels into the ground in August of 2019.
New features include a modern oncology unit, patient registration, an enclosed ambulance bay, volunteer gift shop, donor recognition wall and patient drop off lanes at the main entrance.
