Wellington County OPP are reminding residents – Lock it or Lose it.
Stolen vehicles as well as vehicle entries and theft have seen a massive surge recently. Wellington OPP have responded to 69 stolen motor vehicle incidents and 138 vehicle entry and thefts.
Many of these incidents could have easily been prevented from simply locking the doors. In some incidents residents reported garages were broken into as a result of the suspect getting access to a garage opener from an unlocked car.
OPP say the easy solution to not having your vehicle broken into or stolen? Lock it.
