Aberfoyle Pollinator Garden in Wellington County

Garden helps keep important bug species thriving

 

The Aberfoyle Pollinator Garden opened up in the County of Wellington yesterday.

This habitat of flowering trees, shrubs and wildflowers are all along Riverstown landfill as well as the closed landfill site in Arthur. The pollinator garden attracts various species of butterflies, moths and bees for pollination to keep some of those important bugs thriving.

Over 1700 plantings of the 30 varieties of trees, shrubs, perennials and grasses are part of the Pollinator Garden.
