Local hospitals were see a series of funding for emergency rooms and acute medical and surgical beds.
The $3.4 million investment from the provincial government will help reduce emergency wait times and expand bed capacity says MPP Matthew Rae.
The Stratford General Hospital will see the bulk of the funding with $2.5 million for bedded capacity.
Hospitals in Listowel, St Marys, Mount Forest and Palmerston will see $150,000 for emergency department funding.
Stratford will also see $260,000 for emergency funding.
