Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson has announced three festivals are receiving funding from the province.
With the help of the Reconnect Festival and Event Program, three local events in the Huron-Bruce region will get a boost to come back strong.
Kincardine’s Lighthouse Blues Festival will receive almost $50,000, Huron Waves Music Festival will be getting $42,500 with Port Elgin’s Pumpkinfest receiving nearly $42,000.
The funding provided is more than double what is usually given to local festivals and events from the province to help ensure the success of the festivals and event sector while helping municipalities and organizations to deliver innovate and safe experiences.
